About 

Shrinkhla Sahai (She/Her) is a leading psychotherapist based in Delhi-NCR, India, and a visionary mental health educator and mentor. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director at Swayam Foundation, she has spearheaded transformative mental health training programs, supervised and mentored MH counsellors and therapists and provided high quality mental health care to clients in over nine countries. Some of her innovative psychotherapeutic interventions include specialised relationship counselling for neuro-diverse couples; and a resilience-based somatic approach to trauma treatment. She has received acclaim in the field for her unique initiatives like India's first pet bereavement support group, caregiver support group, psychology and counselling training for non-psychology populations and most recently the Suicide Prevention First Aid training. She received the award for Best Support Group Facilitation at the Women and Mental Health Summit 2024 and the Best Clinical Therapist award at the Powerful Women Awards 2024.  

 

Shrinkhla has a Master's in Clinical Psychology and is presently completing a PhD in Psychology. She has been working in the field of mental health since 2015 and is certified in various psychotherapeutic modalities including Trauma-focused Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) , Embodied Psychotherapy and Queer Affirmative counselling.

 

She combines her experience in cultural studies (M.Phil) with her training in psychology to work through an intersectional lens grounded in humanistic values and neurodiversity-affirmative approach. Shrinkhla is the Executive Director and Co-Founder, Swayam Foundation (a nonprofit for mental health) and served as the Vice-Chair-North Zone, Creative Movement Therapy Association of India (CMTAI). She is a Founding Member of the Trauma Wisdom Circle at the Academy of Therapy Wisdom.
